Who We Are

Meet The Farmers

Vince Boddicker

Vince grew up on and later owned a family farm near Parkston, SD. After 17 years of successfully operating a diversified grain and livestock operation, Vince decided to fulfill one of his missions of establishing a cash grain and livestock marketing business.  He's been with Farmers Trading Company as a broker for over 30 years. In that time, Vince has become well-versed in the livestock and grain markets, in addition to trading and monitoring the majority of commodity futures markets. With a unique ability to recall countless pieces of market history, Vince is available to assist producers with comparing how current market conditions align with what has happened in the past. When he's not watching the markets, you will never find Vince sitting still. He spends his free time as an active member of the local Knights of Columbus, and serving as President of the local Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter

Andrew Streff

Andrew grew up as the 5th generation on his family’s corn and soybean farm northwest of Salem, SD where he started renting land and farming at the age of 14 as an FFA project. His farming experience provides an intimate knowledge about the risk, stress, and logistics required to build an effective marketing plan that fits any operation. Known for his straightforward approach and strong work ethic, Andrew has established and maintains the standard of providing our farmers with high quality, timely, and concise market data. You'll quickly find that he would rather turn business away than provide you with a service he doesn't truly believe is best for you and your family. When he's not in the field or watching the markets, you can find Andrew spending time with his wife and two children and operating the corn maze he hosts on his farm as a fundraiser for his community.

Connor Brockhaus

You would never guess it after meeting him, but Connor grew up in the suburbs of Omaha, Nebraska. From a young age he spent every possible minute on his grandparents farm, dreaming about being a farmer himself someday. In 2018 he moved to that family farm in Mt. Vernon, SD and made that dream a reality. Coming from a long line of teachers and farmers, he always has enjoyed the analytical side of farming which led to his career in commodity marketing. Connor has quickly developed the ability to educate farmers on how to use the futures and options market to manage their price risk with relatively low-cost strategies. When he's not on the farm or in the office, you can find Connor spending time with his wife and helping lead youth group at his Church.

What People Say About Farmer's Trading Company

Brad F Viborg, SD

Farmers Trading and Midwest Grain Marketing are great to work with. Vince and Andrew are very knowledgeable and up to date on what's going on in both local and global markets.

Matt B Mt. Vernon, SD

I have been with FTC since 1998. When I attended Mitchell Vo-tech during that time, FTC was there and eager to teach us beginning farmers how things worked with the futures market and helped us understand the risks and rewards involved.

Corey S Madison, SD

With FTC's strong knowledge of the ag markets, they do a great job of seeing that my grain is marketed the best way possible. They communicate to a level I'm comfortable with and their years of experience shows with the quality of service I receive. If you are looking for a reliable marketing service, I highly recommend Farmers Trading.
